So name changing has came out but I was wondering if there would be any problems if I was to change my name and then enter the server. Would any personal items and property be gone?
i wouldn't know personally, probably not because it would be the same player file but because i am unsure i think you should just take a screenshot of your cords and put anything in your inv in your chest and if problems occur we can just tp you to your home change the owner of your claim and unlockette any chest you have
Technically you shouldn't lose anything since your data is saved under your login (email), however server stats are usually saved under you ign mostly. So whether you lose your data is dependant on whether the server recognises your login info (email) which it should.
You dont lose anything since name changing only changes your name, not your game ID, thats why ban systems need to be updated to a players ID instead of their name.

We've had a few users change their names, they lose their ranks, claims, homes, towny stuff, lockette, etc.
